Mahalakshmi Cheruvu is the place which is believed to be the residence of Goddess Lakshmi. Undravajram is the place where Uraga Raju resided.The ‘Sri Daneshwari temple’ near Tanuku is very famous in the region. It is dedicated to goddess Dhaneshwari. This traditional temple is considered very sacred and large numbers of devotees visit it.

Devi Maha-maya Prakriti, a temple for peace and solace attracts large number of people. Many people practice meditation here. On the banks of holy Gosthani River, there is an ancient temple of goddess Durga. A Large number of Pilgrims come here to get the blessings of the goddess. Other places of tourist interest in Tanuku are Yellarama temple, Mantalamba temple and the famous mosque Masjid-e-Hanfipet.
