According to legend, the Thadlaskein Lake was dug using arrowheads. Fed by underground springs, this rectangular lake can be reached driving along the NH44 as the beautiful landscape unfolds all around you. An early start will allow you to visit Nartiang, the Stonehenge of the Jaintia Hills. Megaliths placed here in clusters remind you of Stonehenge in the UK. There are plans to build a lodge here by a private company which will allow you to spend the night at this place.
