Tips-only walking tours of European cities

An article in the Sunday newspaper here in Sydney a couple of weeks ago caught my eye. There`s a German company called Sandeman that run walking tours of Berlin, Amsterdam, Munich, Edinburgh, Paris and London, daily, every day of the year, for ... free, or a tip to the guide if you want to give it. The website address is Guides tend to be university graduates, historians, journalists or `incredibly well- informed locals`, according to the newspaper article`s author, Steve McKenna. McKenna noted that he`s done tours in Amsterdam, Berlin, Edinburgh, Paris and London, and had not once been disappointed.
When I looked at the website I had the impression it was aimed at the backpacker/ budget traveller market, but McKenna said on his tours (up to 30 people) there was a good
mix of people, many of whom he ended up in the pub with at the end of the tour. Tours are 3 hours or so, and seem to cover quite a lot of territory.
