Top 5 Adventurous Activities in India

There are many adventurous activities that one can go in for while travelling in India. Let us explore a few of these adrenalin rushing activities:

1. Trekking and Mountaineering

There are many snowcapped peaks along with wilderness available in Northern India One can choose from a variety of treks like, easy difficult long treks and even short treks.  One can choose some exciting and adventurous treks like the one for 22 days along the frozen Zanskar River in Ladakh, to the delightful The Valley of Flowers, in the Himalayan region.

2. White Water Rafting and Kayaking

White water rafting is quite the in things these days and a lot of people prefer to go on a white water raft and even get to explore the scenic thrills and spills. One can go in for rafting in the River Ganges and stay in the camps which are set up by the riverside. A lot many numbers of companies organize these camps which also include activities like the AquaTerra Adventures and Thunder Bow Expeditions in the Himalaya region of Uttarakhand, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Sikkim.

3. Paragliding

One can learn paragliding by either learning it on your own, or contact a professional and learn it the right way. One can enroll for paragliding classes which are being offered by many companies. These companies include Wings and Flights and Nirvana Adventures. You could try paragliding in Mumbai and Pune, in Maharashtra, and Kullu Valley.

4. Water Sports

Some traditional water sports like water skiing; Para sailing, jet skiing, windsurfing, and banana boat rides have always been the favorite and popular in India. Kite surfing is also catching on as an adventurous sport now. One can go in for training lessons and learn it in the right manner. One can enjoy these activities on the sun kissed beaches of Goa.

5. Motorcycle Touring

If you are fond of riding a motorbike then there’s no better way of exploring the Indian countryside. One can travel as you wish and halt at any place that you like. One can try exploring the Raid De Himalaya – which is a weeklong race on two wheels from Shimla to Leh. This is held during the first week of October.
