My husband and I have decided to go to Boston for a couple of days in July to celebrate our 43rd anniversary. We`ve reserved a room at the Courtyard Marriott Boston Downtown/Tremont through Priceline. I`m hoping that the less-than-stellar reviews it gets are all from people who paid $200/night and therefore had much higher expectations than we do at the $55/night we locked in.
We`ve been to Boston a number of times over the years, but it`s generally been business or hurried day trips, so I`m definitely looking for suggestions as to what to see and do and, of course, eat. We`re intrepid walkers and particularly love to take advantage of anything that is free. For restaurants, our taste runs to informal, inexpensive and ethnic -- although seafood and Italian may be musts in Boston.
