Lord Shiva is known as “Trivati Nath”. The temple is located in the middle of the town on the Macnair Road. People believe that Lord Shiva first appeared under a Banyan tree in the dense forest in the Panchal area in the dream of a shepherd. When the shepherd woke up he saw a beautiful Shi Lingam near the roots of the same banyan tree which he saw in his dream. People consider that the Hindu calendar, which is also known as the Vikram Samvat 1474, and this is the Emerging (Prakatya) year of Baba Trivati Nath ji Bhagwan in the form of a natural Shiva. This is how the place gradually became the center of worship.
