The Udai Mandir is a temple which has been built on a raised platform which is supported by more than 100 pillars. This is truly an architecture wonder which is worth visiting in the entire lifetime. What is worth admiring that even half of the entrance gate has been made up from Sandstone. One can even see an inner sanctum, which is also known as the Garbha Griha and the sanctum is generally kept covered in a piece of cloth and it is surrounded by gold pots.
One can also see fully decorated doors which are carved and even the railings around the inner sanctum or the Garbha Griha are made up in sandalwood. As you visit this temple in Jodhpur you will be able to see many pictures which are full of pictures of sages which appear in various yogic postures. There are close to 84 pictures and one can see many of these are made in gold. You will also be able to see the gold polishings and real gold work which has been used liberally inside the premises of the temple.
