The weak American dollar should not stop you from travelling. It only means that it may cost you a bit more to get to the destination of your choice but if you want to travel you will take into account the price difference.
For a long time, the rest of us have had to live with the fact that it would cost us more than our currency will give us at home in order to travel and, despite this, we have always travelled. Recently the Canadian dollar was trading above the U.S. greenback and it`s been up and down for the past few weeks. We relished this discrepancy but knew that it was an aberration. It`s up and down and still we travel.
It would be a shame if Americans stopped travelling because the U.S. dollar doesn`t buy as much at it used to. It always costs money to travel the world but the return is so much more in non-dollars so it is always worthwhile. When you consider that you are spending thousands of dollars on a vacation, what`s a few hundred more? Seeing the world is not cheap, never has been and never will be. Don`t stay home!
