The Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium is also more commonly known as the New VCA stadium, located in the Jamtha neighborhood which is located at a distance of approximately 15 km from Nagpur in the Indian state of Maharashtra. This is a Test cricket ground which was primarily built in the year 2008, and is spread over 33 acres.
The stadium was inaugurated in 2008. This new stadium replaced the old Vidarbha Cricket Association Ground and thus became the main stadium in the city of Nagpur.
The VCA stadium is also the home ground for the teams of Vidharba and Central Zone, Ranji Trophy along with Duleep Trophy tournaments. The stadium a host of facilities the prominent one being Wi-Fi. Almost 45,000 can be seated in the stadium at a time. There are World-class training and practice facilities offered in the stadium. There are four stands here. The North stand manors the commercial box and has three tiers. The South stand also has three tiers and houses the player’s pavilion. The East and West stands are primarily open to air stands with two tiers.
