Visit to Argentina

My wife and I and another couple are planning a trip (3-4 weeks)in Argentina sometime in the March - May time-frame 2009. Thinking about renting a place as a base and taking short trips from there. We would appreciate any information, suggestions, places to see, travel hints, places to stay away from, etc. Thank you for your help.
