For those of you who thought only London has a Wax museum and India didn’t have one, and then let me tell you, India also has two Wax museums. The first Wax museum is in Ooty which was founded by Mr. Shreeji Bhaskaran and the second one is in Goa which is our very own Madame Tussuad’s. These two wax museums have wax figures which costs as high as Rs 15 lakhs. The wax museum in Goa is located in Gandhi circle in the Old Goa. Upon visiting the Wax world museum in Goa, you will notice that there are more than 30 wax statues which look real and lifelike of some of the well known and famous personalities which come from a variety of fields like religion, culture, heritage, politics, and these are all very attractive. One of the major attractions at the Wax World Museum is the placement of the last supper which weighs almost 500 kgs and if 22 feet in length. This wax statue is indeed very eye catching and impressive and draws the attentions of the people from all over the world.
These statues truly make you feel as if you are strolling on the walk of fame for the Country India. There are beautiful statues of some of the legends like those of Mahatma Gandhi, Osho, Saint Francis Xavier, Ramakrishna Paramhansa, and Bethlehem.
